As people were celebrating that rain has finally fell, a man escaped unharmed after a billboard fell on top of his bakkie on the Old Potch (Baragwanath road), yesterday.
“We arrived on scene and found the large billboard lying on top of a bakkie,” said Russel Meiring ER24 spokesperson.
Meiring said, “Paramedics immediately rushed over and pulled the driver from his vehicle.
“Once out, paramedics assessed the man and found that he fortunately escaped without injury.
“The cause of the incident is not known but it is thought that the heavy winds were a contributing factor.”
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
