Low risk of load shedding

Eskom has not had load shedding for the past 30 consecutive days.

There is a low risk of load shedding today, Eskom said on Tuesday.

“Eskom has not had load shedding for the past 30 consecutive days and none is anticipated for the day,” said the power utility.

Eskom said that the power system is expected to remain constrained but stable for the rest of the week with a low risk of load shedding, adding that it will monitor the situation and should it be necessary to implement load shedding, it will do so.

“As we enter the summer period, customers are reminded to use electricity sparingly throughout the day, as the system is not only constrained in the morning and evening peaks but all day.” – SAnews.gov.za
