Kwaito star behind bars
Kwaito star hands himself over to the Jabulani Police after a case of common assault was opened against him.
Last week Sunday a case of common assault was opened at the Jabulani Police Station against one of Soweto’s most famous kwaito stars.
He was traced by the police after the case was opened against him but police couldn’t find him the week that the case was opened.
Last week Thursday at around 4pm, he handed himself over to the police and on Friday he was taken to the Protea Magistrate Court facing charges of common assault.
“The Public Prosecutor declined to place the docket on the court roll pending further investigations.
“The docket will be taken back to the Senior Public Prosecutor for a decision once the investigation is complete,” said Justice Mabasa, the communications officer at Jabulani Police Station.
He is in police custody until his next court appearance.
