Protea Glen gets cleaned on Human Rights Day

Residents urged to report and stop illegal dumping.

Democratic Alliance Soweto West Constituency  dedicated and committed itself on the Human Rights Day in servicing the residents of Soweto in resolving ward issues and improving service delivery assessment.

On March 21, they had a cleaning campaign in Protea Glen Extension 11 where they were cleaning a park and nearby illegal dumping sites caused by the community.

DA calls on residents in ward 13 (Protea Glen Extension 11) not to dump illegally and report illegal dumping to Pikitup and keep reference for the call logged.

Makatisane Papo, DA PR councillor said that they believe that residents deserve better and can’t live in situations which are not dignified and endanger their life and calls on all residents not to dump in the streets and passages but use their bins and refuse bags.

“DA will be monitoring the cleaned site and exploring sustainability methods to ensure that no illegal dumping takes place, we will also keep engaging residents to be involved in resolving their own community issues,” said Papo.
