Water interruptions February 7 and 8

Johannesburg Water to provide tanks at various hospitals.

Johannesburg Water has announced that residents can expect water interruptions this Saturday from 2pm to Sunday 3pm.

According to the water and sanitation provider, this planned disruption that will last for 25 hours, will be due to maintenance that will be done at their Eikenhof Pump Station.

Affected areas will include Pimville, Power Park, Diepkloof, Orlando East and West, Dobsonville, Klipspruit, Klipspruit West, Meadowlands, Moroka, Jabavu, Molapo, Jabulani, Tladi, Moletsane, Mofolo South and North, Mofolo Central, Mapetla, Zola, Zondi, Naledi and all extentions, Emndeni, parts of Dube, Chiawelo and all extent ions, Protea North and South and Dlamini and all extentions.

Additional areas are Eldorado Park and all extentions, Coronationville, Bostmont, Riverlea, Claremont, Westbury and Montclare.

Residents should further note that Helen Joseph, Rahima Moosa, Baragwaneth, Tshepo Themba and Lesedi Clinic will also be affected by this water shortage.

Rand Water will continue to supply water into our system at a reduced capacity, but there might be poor pressures and no water supply experienced in the above mentioned areas during this service interruption.

“There will be however, tanks provided or filled at the listed hospitals,” Johannesburg Water said in a statement.
