Vuka Ozivusayo Senior Citizens Club from Pimville along with other clubs in Soweto in honour of Heritage Month, recently held a music festival at the Protea South Multi Purpose Hall.
The aim of the musical festival was to celebrate different ethnicities in South Africa.
“To celebrate this special month, we thought we hold such an event where the elderly can also celebrate their heritage. “Senior citizens from different clubs showcased their talents with different dances,” said Kidi Tshukudu, Vuka Ozivusayo Senior Citizens Club, manager.
She said the day was a success as other dances reminded the elderly of when they were younger.
Tshukudu said residents should expect more celebrations during this month.
