In the spirit of giving back to the community and preserving the legacy of the late Nelson Mandela, seniors at the Soweto Home for the Aged were gifted with blankets today.
The blankets were given by the Clinix Health Group.
Pharmacy Manager at Lesedi Hospital, Phila Dlamini said this is part of their Pharmacy Week celebrations.
He said: “Annually the first week of September is Pharmacy Week and during this time, we share our profession with the community and give back to them. Today we are handing over 67 blankets because we know our elderly struggle, we hope these will help them to be warmer.”
Gogo Thabitha Sihlabi said she thanks the Almighty for bringing them these guests and goods.
She said: “All we get is from God because as seniors we can’t do everything we desire for ourselves. May God abundantly bless all our visitors who never forget about us.”
