German Street continues to flood

German Street in Bramfischerville experiences a problem of floods every time it rains.

It is suspected that the drainage water system may be blocked or not properly built.

Block leader and ward committee member, Pheello Kotelo said he has reported the matter to the ward councillor.

Kotelo said the councillor has acknowledged the report and that he is urgently working to establish a solution.

Ward councillor George Lekgetho said if the channel is blocked it probably means that people have caused the drainage system to become blocked by dumping litter into it.

Lekgetho said” I urge residents not to dump into the water channels because the problem won’t come to an end.
