Man found with shotgun in Eldorado arrested
Police were patrolling when they received information about a male suspect who allegedly fired shoots with a shotgun.
A 23-year-old suspect was arrested at Hillbrow Flats, 74 Turf Ave, Eldorado Park by Moroka SAPS and Eldorado Park SAPS on July 19.

Eldorado Park SAPS communication officer Sergeant Fezeka Khobo said they spotted the suspect with the gun and asked for his license, but he failed to produce it.

“The suspect was arrested for possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
“Community members demanded his release, but backup from POPS, JMPD, K9, and other units stabilized the situation,” said Khobo.
Brigadier Maluleke, the Eldorado Park SAPS Station Commander, promised to remove firearms and deal with all types of crime in Eldorado Park according to the five pillars approach.
He also emphasized that anyone unlawfully obstructing police officials’ duty or damaging state infrastructure will be dealt with accordingly.
