Chiawelo will still get a new park – councillor

Empty space behind Green Church will be turned into a park.

Chiawelo Ward 12 Councillor has assured that the plans to construct a park at the open space behind Green Church will still be implemented soon.

The area councillor said nothing has changed at all and has assured residents that they will get what was promised to them.

“Nothing has changed and it will never change no matter what, everything will still go on as planned, residents must have hope in us as their leaders to make sure that they stay in a safe and conducive environment and beautiful area.

“That space will be turned into a park with no doubts and as soon as the project start, we will call a meeting and announce to residents that it is starting and how should they help us in making the project a great success.”

Nemaungani said: “Having a park here will also help curb the growing number of illegal dumping sites as some residents started dumping there and it will bring a great and healthy environment that residents can enjoy and benefits very much from it.”

Nemaungani urges residents to interact with his office at all time whenever there is a need to.

“My office is always open for any ideas, guidance and advice on how to develop Chiawelo, so everyone is invited to come forward and engage with me on any developmental project.”
