Local school bids fair well to learners

The day which saw learners being awarded with academic and sports certificates for their performance also saw parents coming in their numbers to support their children.

Grade Seven learners and teachers at Nandi Primary School had a wonderful day as they celebrated their farewell November 10.

The learners celebrated their grade seven farewell.

The principal of Nandi Primary, France Chiloane said this was a proud moment for the school as they witness the seed they have planted throughout the years.

“We want to motivate the learners to take the baton from here and work hard on their potentials as they buildup towards their careers.

“We want them to go to the next levels of learning with great motivation, showcasing that they are from Nandi Primary School, making their parents and communities proud because ours is to build a solid foundation for them,” Chiloane said.

Grade seven teacher, Pinky Khonjelwayo wished the learners well on their future endeavors.

He added that even learners who do not grasp fast in academics but have a passion for sport are also encouraged to run with their passion as it can lead them somewhere one day.

Grade Seven teacher and event organiser, Pinky Khonjelwayo who also facilitates Saturday classes said it warms her heart to see her learners departing from the school and moving towards their dreams.

During Saturday classes using money from her own pocket, Khonjelwayo ensured that the learners receive spoils for lunch and food parcels for those from underprivileged families.

The learners celebrated their grade seven farewell.

“Teaching is not just a job for me but a calling. Seeing learners satisfied in all aspects of their lives warms my heart because a happy learner is a productive one. We wish them nothing but the best as they raise the flag of Nandi Primary high, where it all started.”
