Progress made on hijack case

The Jabulani police managed to make seven arrests related to a hijack case.

Seven suspects were arrested for two different cases of hijacking which took place last week Thursday and were scheduled to appear in cour.

Police spokesperson Kay Makhubela says the first four suspects were found in Zola North at what seemed to the police as a stripping spot.

The police found a Toyota Quantum at this spot and are still looking for more suspects who may be linked to this incident.

In a different incident, police found a stolen bakkie and a VW polo in the residential area of Jabulani.

Police say they got a tip off and followed it only to find three suspects stripping a bakkie which had been stolen at Booysens.

Makhubela says the police are on a mission and will only win if they work hand in hand with the community so residents are asked to share information related to crime with the police.
