Miss eSoweto entries open

Mrs eSoweto Pageant calls on woman between the ages of 35 to 55 to join them and be part of the second annual crowning of the pageant.

This year’s celebration and crowning will take place at YWCA Hall.
The founder of the pageant Fikile Motaung said the 2023 entries have been open and the pageant is strictly for matured women residing in Soweto who are either engaged, married, divorced or widowed and have high interest with working with the community of Soweto.

“What we are basically looking for is someone who will be more like a mother figure to the residents of Soweto.

“Some women when they go through this phase of their lives seem to lose their self-esteem and confidence, so through our pageant we want to remind them of their power and how beautiful and capable they are to make a difference in their communities,” Motaung said.

She added that the pageant will also run various workshops to equip contestants with various skills in mental health, modelling, public speaking, entrepreneurship, beauty, fitness and cooking.

“There is about R100 000 worth of prizes to be won that includes cash prize, get away, spa , furniture, beauty, fitness, grocery vouchers and many more.

“We are also calling on local businesses that would like to partner or sponsors the pageant with cash prizes, sashes, crowns, vouchers, furniture, jewellery or goodie bags.

“Those who would wish to work with us must feel free to lend a helping hand.”
