Over 400 suspects arrested for various crimes In October in Dobsonville

The arrests came as a result of commitment by members at the station through crime prevention.

The Dobsonville SAPS making promising strides in curbing crime stats in the area.

This as they arrested 445 suspects for various crimes around the Dobsonville policing precinct during the month of October.

The arrests came as a result of commitment by members at the station through crime prevention, sector policing, detective work and collaboration between law enforcement agencies such as the JMPD, Gauteng Traffic department and other SAPS departments.

“The arrested people are facing various charges which include domestic violence, illegal immigrants, rape, murder, drunk and driving, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, dealing in drugs, selling of liquor without a permit and other crimes as the police continue to enforce the law,” said Constable Vusi Thokwan, Dobsonville Corporate Communications.

According to Constable Thokwan, the recent successes in the policing prescient included its three sectors mainly Bramfischerville, Mofolo North and the greater Dobsonville.

Some of the arrested suspects were released on station bail, some at court and others were convicted on the crimes they committed.

He further urged on the community to report crime on the crime stop line on 086 001 0111, send an SMS to the crime line on 32211 to report crime anonymously or use the My SAPSAPP.
