Several suspects arrested on the weekend in Soweto East
These arrests have been made within the Eldorado Park, Kliptown, Orlando, Diepkloof and Meadowlands SAPS policing precincts.
Sergeant Roxanne Gibb released a statement which indicated that various law enforcement agencies have over the course of the weekend secured a total of 96 arrests.

These arrests have been made within the Eldorado Park, Kliptown, Orlando, Diepkloof and Meadowlands SAPS policing precincts.
“The arrests range from alleged crimes of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, assault common, possession of drugs, shoplifting, possession of stolen property, rape, sexual assault, possession of dagga, dealing in dagga, malicious damage to property, theft, and possession of unlicensed firearm,” said Gibb.

Other crimes that the suspects were arrested for were: pointing of firearm, armed robbery, theft of motor vehicle, armed robbery, failure to produce a valid passport, reckless and negligent driving, drunk and driving, fraud, possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition, dealing in liquor, trespassing, child neglect, businesses burglary, intimidation, assault on police, interfering in police duties, and domestic violence.
“The aforementioned suspects will appear before the respective courts during the course of the week,” concluded Gibb.
