Introducing Miss Bo to the world

Miss Bo’s music is assembled through a blend of singing, chanting, and poetry, igniting a personal connection to every word, beat and note, promising to take the industry by storm.

Meet Boitumelo “Miss Bo” Moletsane, South Africa’s fresh talent who started her music career as a teenager, participating in high school musicals, it was during this time she built up confidence in herself as a singer and experienced the joys of performing, capturing audiences along her journey, and realised that this was her destiny.

“From a young age, I always loved singing and dancing for my family and friends. While other kids would invite me over to play dress-up with dolls, when they came over to my house, we’d be creating dance routines, practicing songs, etc. I just loved music,” Miss Bo says.

“It has been a challenging journey for me as an independent artist, you don’t have the same resources, connections, and access as artists who are signed to major recording labels. But I am really happy with the progress that I have made in the past two years,” says Miss Bo.

The music industry was hit hard by the global pandemic, however, for Miss Bo, this was an opportunity to flourish in the industry.

“I think for all artists it has been really difficult, but I started to pull myself into the music industry when the global pandemic started because before that, I was working a 9 to 5 and I lost my job, so this gave me an opportunity to get in the studio and start making music, developing my sound and discovering my sound. It is still hard for us as artists in terms of gigs and performances, but I am trying to make the most of it and hopefully, we will come out of this pandemic stronger as artists,” says Miss Bo.

Her breakout single “Wanna Feel you” featuring Heavy K was released in May this year and she is currently working on an EP and developing her sound with the guidance of legendary music maverick MXO. The EP features multiple variations of Deep House and Amapiano sounds. The lyrical content is diverse, striking a balance of sensual and meaningful which highlights who she is.

Miss Bo is a young woman who embraces her femininity and is comfortable in her skin. Exuding confidence as she walks her path and strongly believes that “women should be able to celebrate their bodies and sexuality without judgment or fear.”

“I firmly believe that, as women, we should be given full authority over our bodies and me being comfortable in my skin, being comfortable in my sexuality is not a consent for men to touch me or sexualize me, it is about how I feel. For so many years women have been told how to look, how to dress, how to walk and we live in a society where what’s ‘hot’ is constantly changing, one minute it is cool to be thin the next, then thick girls are in,” says Miss Bo.

“Being in this place where I celebrate my femininity, is so important for me and it has been a journey for me because most of my life I have struggled with self-esteem, throughout my teen years and that led me into depression, going from overeating to not eating, I think we need to teach young girls to love themselves and stop comparing themselves. So, I celebrate my body because of my journey, and for the past six years I have been in a healthy space with my body and I celebrate the way I do, because of where I come from,” Miss Bo adds

Miss Bo’s great talent and music journey can be experienced on YouTube and streaming platforms.
