Tukk Tukie transport services office in Noordgesig was in the early hours of Monday, found burning causing damages with nothing left to recover.
Tukk Tukie transport services office in Noordgesig was in the early hours of Monday, found burning causing damages with nothing left to recover, only ashes left and according to Manqoba Shabangu who is a driver and a supervisor at Tukk Tukie, 10 cars which were parked at the office were also burnt.
Besides the fact that this transport service has been assisting the local community with short-distance trips such as shopping for groceries and getting to the clinic, Tukk Tukkie had employed drivers and security officers who were able to take care of their families through it. This may imply that 10 drivers are now without a job, security guards are without jobs since this office will temporarily be closed.

“I received a call in the early hours of this morning from a friend who stays near our offices saying that our office is engulfed with flames, when I called my manager, he told me that he was already at the office and there is nothing left to recover,” Shabangu said.
Asked what he thinks may have caused the fire, he said that the office was set alight.
“The office was set alight, and it is very sad because some people have families to feed and now some drivers will be left without jobs. Luckily, some of our cars were parked at our other office so, they were not affected and we have warned our drivers to be on the lookout and be safe when they are busy at work because we don’t know the reason behind the burning of our office,” Shabangu.
Shabangu was not able to tell the estimated cost it will cost them to recover what they have lost, however, he said it will cost them a lot of money.
