An accident on the N12 highway left four people dead according to police.
“There are allegations that stones were placed in the road.
“A car lost control when it tried to swerve (away from the stones) and ended up facing oncoming traffic,” Captain Phillemon Khormobi said.
Similar incidents previously occurred on the Golden Highway close to Freedom Park but police and CPF removed the stones and patrolled the area more regularly.
“We have strengthened our patrols and are with JMPD to ensure that such incidents don’t happen again,” Khorombi said.
Meanwhile a man was arrested on the N12 when he was about to rob motorists.
The police are looking for links where the suspect could be involved with other crimes in the area.
