Thobile Steyn crowned Miss Soweto 2020

In a night of glitz and glamour, Thobile Steyn was crowned the Miss Soweto 2020 in an electrifying event that was held at the Soweto Theatre this past weekend, walking away with a grand prize of R100 000 from White Star and an additional R5000 for bagging Miss Congeniality on the night.
This Diepkloof native will drive around in a brand new Toyota Starlet for the year of her reign also get a year’s worth of beauty pampering by Candi & Co and evening gowns by Eli Ball.
Her first princess Anathi Conjwa and second princess Kutloano Moloi each walked away with R25 000 and 10 000 cash prizes, respectively.

Other winners of the evening were: Thando Tshabalala who won Miss Social Butterfly and Tshireletso Olifant who won Miss Photogenic.
The 2020 Miss Soweto was judged by broadcaster, businesswoman, and 2002 Miss South Africa runner-up, Bridget Masinga, and former fashion editor and blogger, Grace Mantjiu, and renowned singer/songwriter Judith Sephuma
This awesome experience will also broadcast on Soweto TV (Channel 251) on 05 December at 18h00. The pageant enjoys a long-standing partnership with Soweto TV.

In the true South African spirit of sharing, the pageant will also broadcast on Mzansi Wethu, DStv Channel 163 on 12 December at 18h00 and repeat on 13 December at 13h30; bringing the pageant experience to the homes of South Africans
Pageant sponsors were Even and Lovely, Eli Ball, K Mile Models, Candi & Co, BIC Soleil, and Toyota who will provide their latest Starlet model to the winner during her reign.
