Emshukantambo grateful for their new spacious kitchen

The school wished to have a big ceremony but sadly they couldn't for the safety of all the learners and teachers.

On Thursday, October 1 Emshukantambo Secondary School in Pimville, Soweto officially launched their new spacious kitchen, and due to the Covid_19 pandemic, they could not have a huge opening ceremony.

A teacher at the school Pule Hlahane said their happy that they are now going to utilise the new kitchen as they have been using the old one for years now.

“We want to thank the government, all the donors and all the stakeholders who played a role in the building of the structure,” he said.

Hlahane could not explain the level of gratitude they have as a school but said their very happy to have such a beautiful structure in their school.

Ntsie Ndlumbini, a teacher representative on the School Governing Body (SGB) said they are grateful for this great initiative by the Department of Education and donors.

“It really means a lot for us as a school. We are proud of our new kitchen. It looks great,” she said.

The principal of the school Richard Masemola stated that the new kitchen has given all of them as a school, hope, and drive.

He added that It has made even the food handlers which is the kitchen staff to gain a sense of pride working in a new and improved kitchen.

He extended his gratitude to the Department of Education.

Masemola concluded by stating that may they all value and treasure this great kitchen like they value and treasure every facility here at school.
