The deceased Alvino Peterson(42) identified by his sister

Update on the identity of a culpable homicide victim.

The Management and investigating officer of Eldorado Park SAPS would like to thank our local radio station Eldos FM and our community members for their co-operation.

This comes after a media release requesting for assistance to help identify a victim of a culpable homicide case that occurred on 30 August 2020 at approximately 17h30 along the N12 Freeway next to the pedestrian bridge of Joe Slovo Park and Old Eldorado Park.

The family heard about the incident via Eldos Fm and thereafter contacted the station, whereby they were taken to the mortuary to identify the body.

The victim has been positively identified by his sister as Alvino Peterson a 42-year-old male residing in Park Street Old Eldorado Park.

The assistance and co-operation from our local Stakeholders and community members are highly appreciated.

This proves that working together assists in making our community a better one.

The investigating officer of a culpable homicide case at Eldorado Park SAPS is appealing to anyone with information concerning the identity of the deceased to urgently contact him.

The incident occurred on 30 August 2020 at approximately 17h30 along the N12 Freeway next to the pedestrian bridge of Joe Slovo Park and Old Eldorado Park.

It is alleged that the now deceased pedestrian was crossing the N12 Freeway from Joe Slovo Park to Old Eldorado Park when the collision occurred.

The victim is a Coloured male between the age of 35-40 years and was wearing a grey in colour hoodie jacket, a grey T-shirt with white stripes, and a maroon trouser.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of the victim or relatives should urgently contact Detective Sergeant Shongwe on 011 946 0300 or at office C10 at Eldorado Park SAPS.
