Sowetos very own has advanced to the next level in the journey for Mrs South Africa 2020
Thando-Rose Manonga selected as Mrs. South Africa Semi-Finalist.
Entrepreneur and creative Thando-Rose Manonga is one of the few selected to progress in the highly competitive Mrs. South Africa Pageant. Thando who has roots in Zola, Soweto; is one of the few women who have managed to balance a successful career, run numerous companies, keep super fit and maintain a healthy home with her children and husband.
The stylish semi-finalist began her journey on this pageant as a way to highlight the importance of inclusion. At her young age, Manonga has managed to forge her way in the construction industry and equally establish her love for fashion with a clothing styling business.
Entrenched with a strong passion to create and a drive to succeed, Manonga is proud to represent strong, resilient, black women within the pageant.

Reminiscing about her time at her Grandmother’s home in Zola, Soweto as a child; the now Pretoria resident had this to say about being selected as a semi-finalist for Mrs. South Africa 2020.
“I love challenges and this is one of the most exciting chapters of my life. As much as this is out of my comfort zone, I’m absolutely honoured to have been selected as a semi-finalist.
“I hope my journey inspires more women to step out of their comfort zones and strive to take on new challenges,” said Manonga.
She went on to say, “Thank you to my colleagues and friends for their support.
“Thank you to Mega Roads and Civils for coming on board on this journey with me.
“A very special thank you to my family – I hope to make you proud beyond this moment.”
