Clueless Dj aims to take on the world with his music

From Braamfischer to the world.

It is true when they say dreaming big can open doors for you when you work hard to make them come to life. Puseletso Kekana who also goes by the “Clueless DJ” can testify to the true saying. Kekana is a DJ and a trend setter aiming to improve his craft soon.

Hailing from the township of Braamfischer, Clueless DJ aims to take the music industry by storm and wants to rove to the society that growing up in the township can sharpen your mind and make you street smart.

he mentioned that the name “Clueless DJ” came from his uncle’s late friend. He agreed to carry on the name in his legacy and continue where he left off.

“my uncle gave me the name because it was his late friend’s name and also because I could not come up with a name of my own.”

Kekana explained that he developed his love for music at a tender age mostly because his family loved music and used to play it a lot. At the age of 16 was when he really saw that he felt it in the blood and saw how much he really loved music.

“I started playing music with virtual DJ when I was 16 just so I could have a little experience.”
“I started meeting people and actually playing when I was 18. Playing at such a young age has taught me to really start believing in myself more and I grew so much.”

He continued to say that he has met a lot of people in such a short period of time. Some people have had a great effect on him while others have affected him negatively.

In a very colorful and cheerful mood, he described his first gig with a massive crowd. He said that it was the biggest moment and was the best way to begin his career.

“I met DJ Beef in 2016 and he afforded me the opportunity to play at his event. It was my first time playing for a crowd and that moment validated my dream of being a DJ.”

We see a lot of parents criticizing the decisions of the youth regarding their careers and it is understandable that they are looking out for their future.

Kekana stated that he had the same problem whereby his decision of being a DJ was questioned.

“when I first told my parents about it, they did not take it very well because of the late nights and the little money. But soon after I launched, they accepted it.”

He involves his community as much as he can in his work and mentioned that what he loves doing most is playing for the young kids. “My proudest moment was when I started getting hired by parents to come play at their children’s parties and creche graduations.”

“I love children and I am very passionate about the. I love their innocence and just how free they are.”

When asked about his goals, he said that he would like to work with some of the biggest names in the industry like Black motion. He stated that Black motion has had a huge influence on how he plays his music.

“I want to take the world by storm, I want to bless the people with my good music.”

The country has been under the national lockdown from March and Kekana explained that it has taken a toll on him and his career.

“I lack equipment so I cannot even play at home. I am out of work because no one is booking, and I am losing a lot of money.”
