The Kliptown police spokesperson Nondumiso Mpantsha urges Pimville and Kliptown residents to be safe during the upcoming festive season.
Mpantsha says there has been a lot of house burglaries reported and because of the upcoming holidays this figure will probably rise.
“As people are going away for the holidays, they need to meet the police half way by also doing their part to protect their belongings.
“Residents that know that they will not be around, need to alert their neighbours to at least be on the lookout,” she said.
The spokesperson says the community need to be alert so they can come back from the holidays with all their belongings intact.
