Over the weekend Moroka police have opened six dockets of carjacking and one of house robbery. It is a great concern for us as the police to receive such a high number of serious offices, wherein other carjacking victims were shot and injured.
In Sekhukhune Street in Mapetla, a Jeep was attempted to be hijacked and one of the victims was shot and injured. The second incident happened in Chiawelo, and they hijacked his car and took all valuable properties, but the vehicles were later recovered.
Three incidents happened at Dhlamini and along Chris Hani Road where a KIA Rio was hijacked, blue BMW and other vehicles were also hijacked.

We believe that this a gan of young men who are targeting people who are parking outside their gate and having some conversations.
All of these vehicles were hijacked between 23:30 and 03:30. The incidents happened from Friday night until Monday morning.
The police kindly request car owners to stop parking vehicles on the pavement while sitting with their partners or family members at night.
It is not safe. Five of these vehicles were hijacked while parking on the pavement only one was hijacked while on the road.
