The rain that most people have been praying and hoping for seems to have done a lot of damage than anticipated.

Chiawelo based Baadjies family had their bedroom furnisher and wooden kitchen units completely damaged due to heavy flood because there is only one and blocked drainage system in their street and it couldn’t swallow the water flowing from the main street.

The family spokesman Boyza Baadjies said the damaged will cost his family a fortune.

“We just had all the wooden kitchen units, grocery racks installed recently and I also bought and install my wooden entertainment stand and other wooden furnisher in my room and all are damaged due to heavy rain.

“This is not the first time we reported the matter to the officials and we have four to five references to prove that and nothing yet has been done and we fear that worst will happen if we don’t get assistance.”
