Legendary actress and singer Abigail Kubheka assaulted by a taxi driver in Orlando East, Soweto
Nomvula Mbense confirmed that a case of assault was opened.
Legendary actress and singer Mama Abigail Kubheka was allegedly assaulted by an unknown taxi driver last week in Orlando East.
Orlando police spokesperson Captain Nomvula Mbense explained what transpired on the day Kubheka was assaulted where she stated that the actress was driving to work from Meadowlands using the N17 route.
Mbense further explained that the Generations: The Legacy actress bumped into a taxi, instead of the driver communicating a way forward the driver attacked Kubheka by punching her in the face and slapping her multiple times.
She added that passengers who were in the taxi tried to calm the driver down to stop him from attacking Kubheka.

According to Mbense the owner of the taxi does not know the whereabouts of his driver.
It was further alleged that after the driver gave the taxi to a friend and fled the scene.
Mbense confirmed that indeed a case of assault was opened but they haven’t made any arrests but the investigation is still ongoing.
Anyone with information about the taxi driver is advised to contact the Orlando SAPS.
Tweeps were angered by the actions of the taxi driver for not only assaulting Kubheka but for not respecting her elders and women adding more fuel to the alarming issue of femicide, women and child abuse.
