5km fun walk for Glenridge Primary School

Glen Ridge Primary learners and residents say, ENOUGH!

Glen ridge primary school along with community members and parents took a stand against gender based violence.

The initiative took place at Protea Glen Ext 16.

The walk was suppose to have started at 7 am, but due to some delays, it started at 8:30 am.

Learners with support from parents, community members and the police took a fun walk from the school aimed at  raising awareness of women and children abuse.

Prayer of repentance was said on behalf of abusers.

The initiative was supported by stakeholders such as Old mutual, Herbal Life and the Teddy Bear clinic.

Prayer of repentance for the land took place during the course of the work, whereby the word of God was shared at the stopping point.

Learners were taught what constitutes child abuse and informed of their options when one of them is abused.
