Police say they have new leads on a kidnapping case

New information comes to light.

Police have confirmed that they have new leads on a kidnapping which took place in Protea Glen extension 29.

Mulisa Rambuda was reported missing on April 27 2019. Police say his father received a call from an unknown man who confirmed that Rambuda had indeed been kidnapped.



The man claimed to have information about his kidnapping but wanted a sum of R4000 before he could divulge the information according to Protea Glen police communications officer, Sergeant Vincent Mashiteng.

The man gave Rambuda’s father a Capitec account number to deposit the money. Police are currently working on tracing the phone number and the account owner.

Anyone who may have information on Rambuda’s whereabouts is requested to contact Detective Warrant Officer Ramotlou on 082 825 1707 or visit the Protea Glen police station.
