Caregivers get a big boost from Killarney Mall

Caregivers receive much needed sponsorship.

Children from Thembelenkosini Care Givers had a blessed day on Friday when they were sponsored with stationary and other items including food parcels. All the drama took place at the center’s premises in Senaoane. The sponsorship came from Killarney Mall after it identified and worked to support Thembelenkosini Care Givers.

According to Sharon Wapnick the mall realised the importance of supporting institutes that provide to and support youth without government funding. The center was co-founded by Khosi Ntshangase to bring positive change to her community.

There are about 125 children at the center and all are provided with a safe environment after school to study, further their education and learn life skills through their volunteers and tutors.

One of the volunteers, Bonginkosi Mbele said they have made it their duty to take care of vulnerable children and provide them with food and extra education.

The mall is proud to have provided stock that will last for up to one year. At least 400 work boots, 500 pens and pencils 150 sharpeners, 150 erasers, calculators maths set and other instruments were donated. Boston Dis-chem pharmacies, Pick N’ Pay, shoppers and Killarney Mall made the day possible for the children.
