Garage employee shot during cash-in-transit heist in Chiawelo

Workers at the BP Garage situated along Chris Hani Road in Chiawelo witnessed a horrific incident when six armed men stormed the garage while a cash-in-transit vehicle was collecting money there. It is alleged that shots were fired.

According to reports, no one was injured except for a garage employee. The wounded person was rushed to hospital for treatment. The thugs made away with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police were seen at scene. Our Chiawelo Urban News reporter was on site following reports of a CIT heists to gather information. We are yet to hear from captain Mpande Khoza for further details regarding this incident.
