Man disappears with toddler

Police are requesting that anyone who may have information about the whereabouts of the missing people mentioned above contact the Crime Stop line at on 08600 10111.

The Dobsonville police have launched a manhunt of a man suspected of kidnapping a four-month-old child. According to the police report, the man is known as Mzikayise Dube of Bramfischerville Phase Two.

The Dobsonville police spokesperson, constable Mzwakhe Xazi said, “The suspect left with the child on November 18 at 10 pm leaving behind a note indicating that he was going away to kill himself and the baby.”

In an unrelated incident, 18-year-old Nonhlanhla Moyo went missing on September 26.

Xazi said, “On the day she went missing, Moyo took her nine-month-old baby to the clinic and she has not returned home since.

“Moyo is dark in complexion, has short hair and is of medium built. A missing person report has already been lodged opened at the Dobsonville Police Station,” said Xazi.

Police are requesting that anyone who may have information about the whereabouts of the missing people mentioned above contact the Crime Stop line at on 08600 10111, or SMS the crime information line at 32211 or call the Dobsonville Police Station on 011 983 1500.
