Loads of fun at the family fun day for Jabavu residents

Good music, good people, and good performers were the order of the day.

Empowerment and Community Upliftment (EMACU) Organisation hosted the second annual family fun day on November 10. The fun day was held at Moroka North Park in Jabavu.

Good music, good people, and good performers were the order of the day. The second annual family fun day had different activities such as cycling session, indigenous games, poetry, and dancers.

The purpose was to raise funds for the organization in order for them to buy equipment because they assist children with their school work and also for EMACU soccer tournament.



Performances were done by the following group: EMACU Dance Crew, Induku Enhle, Ghetto Revolution, Irrational freaks, Indoni, and Flaka Crew to name a few.

Member of EMACU Thembeka Kgasi said the crowd was hyped up and excited to be part of such an inspiring event. The highlight of the event was seeing young people and parents’ attending the event.

“We didn’t receive donations as we expected but we appreciate the presence and support of our community members. We appreciate and thankful to our sponsors for contributing and ensuring that the family fun day was successful,” said Kgasi.

Kgasi added that she was inspired by the different group from Soweto given a platform to showcase their talent.
