VIDEO+FOTOS: JMPD trainees finally graduate

The new graduates will help fight crime together in the inner city.

Today, the Executive Mayor of Johannesburg, Herman Mashaba and the MMC of Public Safety Michael Sun, will be gracing the JMPD graduation ceremony which is being held in Meadowlands Zone five at Veritas academy.

The city mayor had a chance to inspect all the JMPD graduates as he  was accompanied by  Chief of Police David Tembe and traffic wardens.

Keynote speaker Executive Mayor Herman Mashaba took to the podium to address issues  affecting the city.

He added that the new graduates will help fight crime together in the inner city.

“The more there are of you (JMPD new graduates) patrolling the streets of Joburg, the better chances of you helping us reduce crime,” said Mashaba.

The mayor added that operation Buyamthetho has been doing a great job as they managed to apprehend a number of suspects who have been  committing different crimes in the inner city.
