Meadowlands ANC members change Gogo Botsi’s life

Gogo Botsi's life was changed in an instant by the ANC and Vuyo Funerals.

Ward 41 ANC members in partnership with Vuyo Funerals and councillor Sphiwo Mbongo on September 8 helped a senior citizen Evelyn Botsi to clean and renovate her house.
Through their regular door to door campaign they  were able to identify gogo Botsi as she lives with her two children who are unemployed and the other one suffers from a mental disability.

According to Clr Mbongo, gogo Botsi is the breadwinner and she has to make sure that they are provided for and that they can survive with the little that she receives.
“In this spirit we have taken it to on  ourselves and we are happy that Vuyo Funerals and Randcom came on board and assisted us with necessities so that we  are able to leave the house in a good state,” said Mbongo.

Evelyn Botsi said,”Today I am going to sleep peacefully and I am grateful for what the councillor and people who contributed did. I am out of words.”
This Thuma Mina campaign has set a good example within our communities since it was first implemented and since then people have started to make that change in others.
Vuyo Funerals gave Gogo Botsi a full package funeral cover, groceries and a headstone while Randcom donated paint and equipment to give the house a fresh coat.
