12 people injured in a collision at Main Reef and Westlake Road
Taxi and car collide leaving passengers injured.
Twelve people were left injured on Wednesday following a collision between a taxi and light motor vehicle at the Main Reef and Westlake Road intersection Florida, West of Johannesburg.
ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene at 07h15, finding a taxi and light motor vehicle in the left-hand lane of the intersection.
Several people had already climbed out of the taxi and were now walking around on the scene.

Paramedics assessed the patients and found that twelve people had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate.
The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to nearby provincial hospitals for further care.
The local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
