Here’s what Gauteng Department of Education has planned this January
Schools will reopen on Wednesday, January 17, 2018.
Schools will reopen on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 and the Gauteng Provincial Government has dubbed January an education focus month. The following activities have been lined up to kick-start the academic year.
1. Annual Matric Results Announcement that took place on Friday, January 5, 2018.
2. Political Office bearers will be deployed to various schools across the Province to mark the reopening of schools. The political leaders will assess conditions in each school and consult communities.
3. Another mega township school, Everest Primary School in Westbury, Johannesburg West, will be opened on Wednesday, 17 January.
4. The department will host an Education Imbizo at the end of January to consult and mobilise society to ensure schools function adequately.
