14-year-old child missing in flash floods in Dobsonville
Young girl swept away by flash floods on her way from school
The heavy rainfall from Thursday left the streets in Soweto flooding and a 14-year-old girl was swept away by flash floods as a result.
On March 3, Nana Radebe of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) said, “We have the parents who confirmed that the girl who was flushed away by the flash floods yesterday is actually a 14-year-old.”
Radebe said, “The parents explained that the child was supposed to have returned from school when her friends came in to report that she was swept away by the strong floods from yesterday’s rain.”
The search for the girl is under way.
