Van Gelder swoops second round of Dis-Chem’s Brain of 702

Dis-Chem’s Brain of 702 took place on Saturday at Maponya Mall and Len Van Gelder secured his spot in the semifinals.

He answered 15 questions correctly out of 25 questions, becoming the winner of the first round and walking away with R5 000 in cash.

Van Gelder (66) is a retiree born in Cape Town who has been married for the past 40-years and currently lives in Weltervreden Park –West Rand.

The annual 702 challenge gives contests an opportunity to test their general knowledge and stand a chance to win great prizes.

This weekend’s mall activation was packed with shoppers, 702 listeners and was co-hosted by Gugs and Sizwe and Gugulethu Mahlangu as the on-air host.

The next mall activations will take place at Menlyn Mall on February 18 at the Central Park Court which will be the third round of 702.

The last round of Brain of 702 will take place at Mall of Africa on February 25.
