24-year-old nabbed for possession of stolen property
Cooperation between police and residents triumph over crime
A 24-year-old man was arrested for possession of stolen property in Orlando East on Wednesday afternoon.
According to police reports, a tip-off was received from residents that a suspected stolen vehicle was being stripped on Mofutsanyane Street.
“Our members acted swiftly on that information and arrested a 24-year-old suspect.
“A Golf VW Polo classic was recovered during the arrest,” said police spokesperson constable Monica Hangwani.
Police have thanked residents for their cooperation and information that led to the arrest.
The suspect will appear in the Orlando Magistrates Court.
