Breaking News: Struggle veteran #SethMazibuko has been arrested

Following protests in Orlando East this past month, 1976 struggle veteran is arrested.

Police have confirmed that the leader of the Orlando Task Team (OTT) and 1976 struggle veteran Seth Mazibuko has been arrested. Orlando Police Station spokesperson Nomvula Mbhense said Mazibuko is due to appear at the Orlando Magistrate Court tomorrow.

“He was arrested today for public violence and malicious damage to property,” said Mbhense.

Mazibuko’s OTT has been at the forefront of protests which have plagued Orlando East since last month. The protests are in opposition to the introduction of prepaid electricity in the area. More to follow
