Two arrested as suspects for taxi murders, Lawley

Earlier this week there were reports of two taxi drivers shot dead with another one left critical in hospital, an attack suspected as taxi violence.

Two perpetrators aged between 25 and 35 years of age were arrested in connection with the taxi violence that occurred in Lawley Extension two where two taxi drivers were shot dead.The perpetrators were arrested at around noon, Kanana Park Extension five, De Deur.

The perpetrators were found in possession of two revolvers and a shotgun.They were allegedly arrested by the Cluster Crime Intelligence, Ennerdale Crime Intelligence, and Metro Police.

They were charged with possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition. An investigation is underway to try and find a link with the two murders and one attempted murder of the taxi drivers.
