Soweto DJ gets R10 000 bail

Donald Sebolai's trial to start in February.

After spending seven months behind bars for being charged with the murder of his girlfriend, the Soweto DJ Donald Sebolai has finally been released on R10 000 bail.

Previously when the DJ was asked to plead at his second appearance, he pleaded not guilty.

The accused made his latest appearance in court on January 20 where he was finally granted bail.

Earlier, the state was against him being given bail, saying that he was a flight risk as he was finally arrested last year July in Dube, after being on the run for almost two weeks.

The trial is set to start next month at the Palm Ridge Magistrates Court.

CEO of Jozi FM, Mpho Mhlongo said: “We believe that the accused must face the law and that he will have to deal with the outcome.

“As a station, we support the justice system so that in the end the truth may be revealed.”
