CPF EXCO orientation workshop at Dobsi SAPS

Community Policing Forum must work for the community.

A Community Policing Forum (CPF) orientation workshop was held recently at the Dobsonville Police Station.

This orientation was intended to equip the newly elected CPF executive by providing them with the necessary knowledge on policing principles and guidelines.

Workshop facilitator Brigadier Aznen Nengovhela said CPFs’ are ambassadors elected to serve the needs and interest of society.

Nengovhela said the forum should create a constructive partnership between the police and the community.

“CPF is expected to provide leadership and this should be characterised based on the mandate of the authority office,” he said.

He said the elected executive committee should generate means to address the problems and challenges at present in all policing areas.
