At around 12:40am, there was an ATM bombing at Shell Garage in Protea Gardens Mall.
It is alleged that eight suspects who were armed with rifles but didn’t get what they were looking for.
After failing to get the money from the ATM it is alleged that the robbers then turned to rob the cashier at the filling station.
“The suspects were said to be driving in a silver BMW and a silver grey Honda.
“No one has been arrested yet and we are still investigating,” said Vincent Mashiteng, communications officer at Protea Glen Police Station.
The manager of the garage said that he was not around at the time of the robbery and only came late at the scene after they called him.
He also said that he hopes they get the suspects.
