Man found dead under bridge

Two other dead bodies have been found before a third one was discovered today.

A man was found dead under the bridge between Chris Hani and Klipvalley Road.

The man was first recognised by pupils who were going to school who then notified Malefu Hlomuka.

Hlomuka, sells sweets near the bridge.

She said that she saw children looking under the bridge and when she saw a dead man, she stopped a police car that was passing by.

The police suspect that the dead man was connecting electricity illegally because his hands were still tied to the steel wire that Kliptown’s shack dwellers use to connect electricity.

A cellphone covered in plastic was found in the deceased pockets and that made the police even more suspicious because it shows that the dead man was indeed doing what they call izinyokanyoka and he knew he had to protect his cellphone from the water under the bridge.

This is the third person to die under the same bridge this year and the previous one was found dead three months back.

The family of the deceased have not come to recognise him and the forensics are still waiting for the undertaker to take the man away.
