“I want this tour to help the children know that nothing comes easy, for them to have a bright future they need to fight, fight for success through education, and also I want them to learn to appreciate the freedom they have today,” said Seepe.

20 learners from Florida and Fleurhof took part in the tour and saw the June 16 Memorial Acre as well as Morris Isaacson High School.

The initiative chose the above mentioned places so as to teach children about Tsietsi Mashinini and other heroes who led the Soweto student uprising in June 1976.
