Uniforms donated at Thembalihle Primary

Former pupils of Thembalihle Primary School in Orlando East donated uniforms to the pupils.

Amanda Lekoane and Sixolile Msimango donated school uniforms to the pupils of Thembalihle Primary School in Orlando East last Monday.

Lekoane donated 27 pairs of shoes and Msimango donated 10 pairs of socks and jerseys. The two women say that they find it important to give back to those who don’t have.

Lekoane said that she has donated uniforms to more than three schools and uses her bonus money to buy the uniforms.

“I also invite people on my birthday and tell them not to buy me presents but to rather buy school shoes and then we give them to needy children,” said Lekoane.

She also said that she encourages others to also come on board and assist as they are a lot of children who don’t have parents.

Msimango, who is a former pupil of Thembalithle Primary, said that she feels that it is the best feeling to give to those who don’t have.

“Receiving is great but giving is even better. Seeing the children’s eyes when we gave them the uniforms was truly priceless,” she said.

She said that this will not be the last time that she gets involved in such initiatives.
