New foundation launched in Eldorado

An initiative that seeks to change societal norms in Eldorado Park.

No Ordinary Woman foundation SA was officially launched last weekend after three years of cultivation.

The foundation has intentions of breaking societal barriers in the community of Eldorado Park.

This is also a platform that embraces the importance individuality within one’s drive to serve their community.

Gloria Bassie Ntsoeng, founder of the No Ordinary Woman foundation said, “With this foundation, God made me understand that I am a woman that represents another woman.

“However, I need to fill my own shoes and take ownership of who I am as a woman in my community before filling up cups.”

A lot of times women embody the need to serve those that look up to them, they carry on their shoulders the urgency of always placing someone before their needs.

However, it becomes impossible to fill up the next person’s cup without understanding who you are and pouring unto self.

“You need to instil good morals within you as a woman and work on yourself. It is important to first be the peace you want to spread, the love you want share and mostly the help you aim to give,” said Ntsoeng.

The purpose of the organizations is generally to improve quality of life for others at a community, local, state, national, or even global level.

According to Ravona Sauls, this initiative is another solution and weapon to help the community fight against social ills they are facing each day.

“It is a reminder to young girls that teenage pregnancy is not a norm that and consuming substances is not something to be gloried.” said Sauls. “It is still necessary to strive for extraordinary in Eldorado Park even if you have to be the only one that chooses their future instead of succumbing to the ordinary life of a township girl or boy.”

Ensley Britoe, founder of Gail Britoe foundation shared his heart on how this foundation will make great impact for the young girls in their community. “No ordinary woman foundation is going to have a positive impact on our community. We are losing our young girls but I believe there is light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to this initiative.”
