Gauteng mother and daughter go missing

The Tembisa SAPS requests the help of the community to find a missing mother and daughter.

Johanna Paulinah Monkwe (37) and her daughter Khumo (nine) are from Carletonville.

Johanna was last seen by her mother following her admission to the Tembisa Hospital.

Constable Patricia Mgijimi, the spokesperson for the Thembisa SAPS, said the family was not informed that Johanna was released from the hospital.

“On her release, Johanna and her daughter were taken to a place of safety in Springs. “On May 9, Johanna called the family driver to pick her up at Wanderers Street in Johannesburg but they never met and it was the last time they heard from her.

“Her cellphone has been on voicemail since. She was last seen wearing a yellow dress with a beige top, and white sneakers with gold stars on.

“The daughter was last seen in a purple outfit and white sneakers,” said Mgijimi.
